Piper PA-31-325 Navajo C/R – Full Interior Transformation

The Project

This project involved a complete interior refurbishment of a Piper PA-31-325 Navajo C/R. The Generation Global team revitalized the cabin with upgraded seating, refined interior linings, new floor coverings, and a wide array of detailed finishes to deliver a truly fully transformed and cohesive interior.

Interior Design & Materials

Colour Theme & Seating

  • The cabin’s aesthetic centered around a charcoal grey interior theme, which established a sleek and modern look.

  • Seating: Upholstered in charcoal grey leather, the seat design was enhanced with subtle stitchwork. Most stitching matched the leather tone, while navy blue stitching on the inserts added an understated contrast.

  • Curtains were crafted from Geneva charcoal fabric, coordinated perfectly with the seating and armrests for a consistent cabin tone.

Cabinetry & Trim Repairs

  • Lighter-colored high-gloss cabinetry provided contrast to the darker upholstery and included features like a cabin divider and foldaway tray tables.

  • The cabinetry underwent extensive repairs, particularly around worn edges, restoring each component to a like-new finish.

  • All metal fixtures were carefully stripped and refinished with a durable powder coat, ensuring long-lasting protection and an elevated finish.

Walls, Armrests & Ceiling

  • The lower sidewalls were upholstered in a light grey textured fabric, adding dimension and softness to the space.

  • Armrests were wrapped in charcoal grey leather, tying into the seating.

  • Ceiling panels and the rear bulkhead’s upper section were wrapped in Oxford white vinyl, creating a bright, airy feel above the armrest line.

  • The rear bulkhead panel included a feature panel in the same grey textured fabric as the sidewalls, adding visual interest and symmetry.

Flooring & Additional Details

  • The floor was laid with Diva dark charcoal carpet, a smart choice that grounds the space and allows lighter design elements to stand out.

  • As part of the detailed finishing touches, the project also included:

    • Painting of door jambs

    • New door seals

    • Lining of wing lockers

    • Matching passenger cushions

    • Leather-wrapped door chain covers

    • New step tread on the entrance stairs

Result

The Piper Navajo C/R cabin now reflects a thoughtful blend of bold modern tones with refined craftsmanship. The charcoal grey theme delivers a sophisticated, contemporary atmosphere, while light upper linings and cabinetry provide contrast and a sense of spaciousness. Every element—from the leather seating to the smallest door seal—was carefully considered and expertly executed to ensure a seamless, luxurious, and durable finish.
