Comprehensive Interior Overhaul for Cessna 182R
Headlining and Carpet Installation
The first step in this comprehensive refurbishing process was outfitting the Cessna 182R with new fabric headlining and carpet floor coverings. We installed Zimmer carpet (WN-120) with black edging, our most popular carpet type, to ensure a durable and aesthetically pleasing foundation. The headliner is a plastic-molded unit wrapped in light grey fabric (HL-100) that featured precise cutouts for the overhead console.
Sidewalls and Trim Panels
For the sidewalls, we supplied pre-made trim panels that seamlessly integrate with the aircraft’s design. The lower section of the sidewall panels was finished in Zimmer carpet, while the upper section was covered in Athena vinyl (110) and lead grey leather (ADI-1121), providing a smooth and cohesive look. The horizontal insert in each panel is enhanced with the stylish grey leather accents. Additionally, all four armrests and handles were wrapped in matching lead grey leather (ADI-1121) to complete the clean, modern aesthetic.
Plastic Repairs and Paint Touch-ups
All plastic components in the aircraft were meticulously repaired and wrapped in grey Arctic vinyl, giving the interior a smooth and refreshed appearance. Exposed plastics were also painted to match the rest of the cabin, providing a uniform, factory-finished look.
Seat Refurbishment and Customization
Seat Frame and Cushioning
The seats in the Cessna 182R were completely refurbished. Our team repainted the seat frames in matte black, ensuring they matched the updated interior. New diaphragms and seat cushions were then fitted to each seat frame for superior comfort and support.
Custom Leather Seat Covers
For the seat covers, we used lead grey leather (ADI-1121), which complements the other interior features. The seat inserts were crafted with gorgeous patterned leather and adorned with sharp silver stitching. Each seat back features four-line quilting (SA-019), adding to the sophisticated and tailored look of the seats. To complete the customization, the Cessna logo was embossed on each single-seat backrest, adding a branded touch.
Final Touches
Our team also repainted the instrument panel and console plastics, applying new placards for a fresh and functional look. The control yoke bosses were wrapped in black leather and finished with a large, prominent Cessna badge for a polished, professional finish.
