THE PROJECT: Full Interior Refurbishment for Cessna 172S Skyhawk
The Cessna 172S Skyhawk, a modern evolution of the world’s most produced aircraft, remains a favorite among pilots and flight schools alike. Built from the late 1990s onward, this model blends timeless design with improved avionics and comfort. Generation Global has extensive experience working on the Cessna 172 series, and for this project, we completed a full interior refurbishment—supplying everything from aviation-grade seat covers and cushions to custom carpets, glareshields, and sidewall panel trims.
This interior overhaul gave the aircraft a fresh, modern aesthetic while improving comfort and functionality, using certified aircraft interior materials designed for durability and elegance.
GALLERY: Modern Interior Upgrade for Cessna 172S
The original Cessna 172S interior featured taupe sidewalls, Matterhorn leather seats, and sage-colored inserts. For the revamp, we introduced a sophisticated new color palette based on sands and beiges, creating a lighter and more contemporary look.

Seating: We installed our popular “new-style” Cessna seat covers, featuring rounded bolsters and a circular center insert for a sleek profile. The seats were upholstered in Savannah beige aviation leather, offering a smooth texture and refined appearance.

Glareshield: To contrast the beige seating, we installed a matte black glareshield eyebrow covered with contour stretch vinyl, designed to reduce glare and enhance visual contrast in the cockpit.

Sidewalls & Inserts: All side trim panels were repaired, repainted to match the new leather tone, and fitted with textured fabric inserts in a hatched “Gull” color. The rear panel inserts were mounted on the doors, adding depth and design consistency throughout the cabin.

Flooring: We provided a custom-fit Ash-colored carpet with black binding, precision-cut to match the exact dimensions of this specific aircraft. The carpet offers a clean, neutral foundation that complements the rest of the updated interior.
