THE PROJECT

For this project, we supplied replacement seat covers for a client in Kenya who operates a helicopter-based safari. The new seat upholstery Generation Global supplied lifted the seating in their AS350's to the same standards as the rest of their fleet which had already been refurbished.

This aircraft’s rear seats are Generation III style, while the crew seats are the Sicma 159 series style. The Generation III design offers a sophisticated look, and stitch lines and seams were utilized to enhance each seat’s distinctive shape.

The covers were made from Saddle Brown leather (ADI-4111) and all stitching was done in matching hues. This helicopter’s interior color scheme is perfectly suited to its surroundings - dusty savannas, rocky outcrops, desert dunes, and lush forests.

THE CLIENT

Our client for this project operates a tour service based in Kenya. They offer a variety of flights across the sub-Saharan region, with their extensive tour spanning a diverse variety of environments. Their organization is also active in wildlife conservation, with their aircraft being used for tranquilizer-darting endangered animals so that biologists can attach satellite-tracked devices. They work with park rangers to respond to and track down poachers, bring veterinary care to animals, and bring orphaned young elephants and rhinos to vetinerary centers for rehabilitation. Boasting an extensive fleet, this client operates AS350s and EC130s as well as Cessna 182s and Cessna Caravans.
