THE PROJECT
For this project, we worked on the seating of an Australian client’s AS350 helicopter. Our work included replacing two crew seats and the rear pax assembly, which were all built with Gen I styling.
GALLERY
We styled these seats with titanium grey leather that featured customised branding. The outer seams sported Portland Grey piping, which served to outline each seat. For the finishing touch, we embroidered our client’s logo in full colour on each seat back.
The seat centre inserts featured a simple vertical seam with matching thread lines - that humble background allowing the logo on each seat back to take full focus. The seats were attached to the aircraft with hook Velcro, which was stitched onto each seat back. Additionally, the seat backs and bases on the rear pax seats had a loop of webbing - that loop can be used to tie the seats together, preventing them from becoming detached while the aircraft is operating.
THE CLIENT
Our client for this project was an Australian operator based in Perth. They operate an extensive range of aircraft - everything from helicopters such as AS350s, Bell 206s, EC120s, and EC130s all the way up to small private jets and other fixed-wing aircraft. They operate predominantly in the tourism and executive transfer sectors but do plenty of commercial work too.
