SUMMARY
This Piper PA-601 Aerostar refurbishment project was carried out at Generation Global's New Zealand facility. The interior refurbishment included seat upholstery, sidewall linings, floor coverings, and headling. The Piper Aerostar (formerly Ted Smith Aerostar) is an American twin-engined propeller-driven executive aircraft, designed by Ted R. Smith. It was originally built by Ted Smith Aircraft Company, which after 1978 became part of the Piper Aircraft Corporation.

The seats in the aircraft were refurbished in a sleek refined design with the main portion of the dress covers in black leather and the inserts in black suede. The suede inserts sported a vertical line of blue double stitching down the center which was matched with blue double stitching on the outer seams. The seats feature the logo of the Aerostar which has been embossed into the leather on the backrest below the headrest.
The cabin sidewalls were recovered in fabric which made up the dominant texture of the interior. The fabric was a woven texture that brought in blacks, greys, browns, and whites into the color scheme. The top sill edge of the lower sidewall was wrapped in black microfibre leather to match the seats.
The floor coverings in the aircraft were Genflor Zimmer carpet which was also used on the lower portion of the sidewalls. The carpet edges were neatly captured under a metallic lip. All edging of the carpet edges was in black mesh binding. The luggage area was carpeted using a graphite felt-backed luggage carpet.
The final part of the interior was the headlining, bulkheads, and trim. The headlining is manufactured using white vinyl and the rear bulkhead is wrapped in the same vinyl. The plastic trim was painted to match the vinyl. The Aerostar logo was debossed onto the vinyl on the rear bulkhead to match the seats.
