THE PROJECT
This project saw the Generation Global team work on the pax seating and carpet set of a Beech 1900D. Our client’s aircraft was being refurbished for a lease contract. In total, we provided 19 pax seat covers and cushions as well as carpet pieces for the cockpit and cabin.

The pax seats in this Beech were of a PS-140 design. We supplied all covers and cushions ready to be fitted to the seat frame. Each cushion was made from Genlite foam and covered with a fire-blocking layer. The seat covers and cushions have velcro attachments, which allow easy fitting and removal.
The seat dress covers were made from Charcoal grey leather (ADI-1121). The dress cover design was a simple one that featured arched curved insets on the back. The seat back consists of the seat backrest cover and the pocket on the rear of the seat.
The carpets sets were cut from Azure Blue nylon carpet - we used a CNC laser cutter to provide precision accuracy. Detailed drawings of the carpets are sent to the client to verify the dimensions before everything was finalized. Once the client confirms the design, the carpet sections were cut with the CNC cutter which seals the edge while cutting and then the edges are overlocked using the blue overlocking serging (249).
