THE PROJECT
This project involved Generation Global supplying an interior kit for a Robinson R44 Helicopter to a client in Australia. The kit included new seat covers and cushions, new crash rail covers, new carpets, aftermarket door inserts, and a full headlining assembly. Certification included an EASA Form 1 Release Certificate. All these parts are available on Generation Global’s online-shop.

The seating for this kit is in the Generation II design, the seats are made of quality aviation leather, Dark Red (ADI-3021) with flat centre inserts and double stitching in a matching red. The crash rail cover and door inserts were in Dark Red (ADI-3021) as well.
The headlining and bulkhead panels were manufactured in black fabric (HL 109) which provided a beautiful contrast to the vibrancy of the seats. The headlining included the optional cut-outs to accommodate the handholds and air conditioning features. The carpet set also complemented the interior in a dark coloured cut pile carpet (Black City) and included cutouts for the heaters on both sides.
THE CLIENT
The client is a trader in light helicopters, based in Queensland, Australia, and is a regular customer who trades predominantly in Robinson helicopters. A new interior can add significantly to the resale value of any helicopter and is common practice with many traders.
