GALLERY
The Tomahawk has a very simple, clean and open interior with the two seats, low sidewalls and large windows. The seats were stripped back to the basic frames and refurbished including painting the frames, fitting with new diaphragms, new foam cushions and new leather dress covers.
The seat dress covers were manufactured from ‘Lead grey’ (ADI 1111) aviation leather. This same leather was used on the arm rests and the centre console between the seats. The leather was perforated on the seat inserts and the Cessna (Tomahawk?) logo was embossed into the seat backrest. The stitching on the seams was in Titanium Grey which is the same colour as the sidewalls.
The plastic interior kit was fitted in conjunction with the installation of the new upholstery. The plastic kit was painted in Titanium Grey which tied the interior together beautifully. Decals and all labelling were replaced with brand new stickers. The glare shield and miscellaneous trim was wrapped in liquorice synthetic leather. The control yokes and hand grips were perfectly wrapped in leather and hand stitched.
The floor coverings have a large visual impact on the perception of the tomahawk’s interior. As you enter the aircraft over the wing, the first view is a birds-eye view down on the floor coverings and seating. The floor coverings were manufactured from a cut pile carpet in Diva (NAI 11027).
