THE PROJECT
For this project, our team delivered rear seats for an MD 500E helicopter. The seats come with packers that fit between the back of the seat cushion and the rear bulkhead to position the backrest cushion. Generation Global’s online shop offers many different configurations and designs of Hughes/MD 369/500E seating.

The seats for this project featured an aft seat assembly and were from the Generation II family. The aft seat has velcro in squab type seating whereas Generation I seats have a more seat frame. Cushions were covered in leather. All these pieces, in turn, were carefully fitted to the helicopter using velcro fasteners.
The seat covers were made from charcoal grey leather (ADI-1121), and the insert leather was perforated and feature wider-than-normal inserts. The seat covers were stitched with silver stitching and embroidered with the MD Helicopters logo in silver.
