THE PROJECT
This project included replacement seat upholstery for a Diamond DA-40 aircraft. This included new seat covers for the forward bucket type seats and the aft bench seat, new in-built control boots, and replacement floor coverings. Generation Global is currently loading these parts on their website online shop. Click here to see Diamond Aircraft interior parts available on the online shop.
GALLERY
The seats were completed in rich tones of ‘Truffle Brown’ (ADI-4141) aviation leather. The seat design included the centre inserts being perforated (HP1) and the control boot in matching leather. All decorative stitching was in a contrasting lighter tone colour thread. The decorative stitching lines help draw out the seat lines and complement the design.
THE CLIENT
The client is a university with a flight training aviation school located in the central region of the North Island of New Zealand. The flight school is located in a new purpose-built facility on the local airfield. The school operates a fleet of Diamond aircraft along with flight simulators. The flight school offers graduates a Bachelor of Aviation which is a great starting point when entering the world of commercial aviation.
