THE PROJECT
This project was for a brand new Bell 505 helicopter. The Bell 505 is delivered from factory with a very spartan interior and the Generation Global team was engaged to supply additional custom carpets, overmats, door trims, headlining, and bulkheads.

The carpet in this Bell is divided into two main parts: a rear cabin section and a forward section. The forward carpet has several cutouts for the controls as well as two cutouts for the seat rails.
A clear overmat was supplied for the carpet in the rear cabin - it works to protect the carpet from dirt and general wear. The overmat, which can easily be removed, is made of transparent PVC that doesn’t alter the look of the carpet and is very easy to clean.
Our team also supplied a fitted headlining and bulkhead. The headlining was divided down the centre with the column where the rotor brake is located. The material we used for the headlining was a plain foam-backed black fabric (F21). The rear bulkhead extends out above the seats to meet the headlining.
The doors have an aftermarket leather door trim kit fitted below the windows. The armrest is wrapped in a matching black leather. The armrest adds a touch of class to the otherwise rudimentary door design. Finally, we designed and installed a custom, removable stowage box, which can be placed between the two crew seats.
