THE PROJECT
For this project, Generation Global’s team supplied an overnight kit for a Cessna 402. Our client used this C402 for aerial photography and scanning work. The twin-engine piston aircraft has been customized with a camera hatch built directly into its floor.

The overnight kit we provided included intake bungs and a pitot tube cover. When the aircraft overnights on the ground or sits in short-term storage, the kit can be used to protect the engine’s integral inlets as well as other pressure-sensitive instruments.
Each intake bung was filled with PU foam cut to match the shape of the intake; the foam is encased by a bright red vinyl cover to ensure the bung is highly visible. The bungs on each engine and on the leading edge of the wing are connected with red webbing. They also include ‘Remove Before Flight’ tags for added visibility. The pitot tube covers also have bright red vinyl sleeves. Stitched-on velcro works to hold the L-shaped sleeves in place. Generation Global's online shop has many overnight kits available.
