THE PROJECT
The Cessna 208 Grand Caravan is a slightly beefier and more passenger-friendly variation of the classic Cessna 208, a popular and versatile aircraft that Cessna has produced for forty years. For this project, we supplied a replacement Grand Caravan headliner for a maintenance organization based in Cairns, Australia. The headliner was purchased on Generation Global’s website and came with CASA Certification.

This headlining was a bit bigger than a typical 208 headlining since it was made for the more spacious Grand Caravan. Fashioned from a single piece, it is made out of a durable vinyl. You may see on the photo that the headlining also has a series of evenly spaced segments - ribs on the aircraft thread through loops located on the back of each segment and hold the headlining aloft.
Zips located along the headlining also allow for convenient inspections. For the vinyl, we used a muted Geneva Light Grey (HL-100) - the added zips were made with a similarly-colored material so they’d easily blend in with the headlining
