THE PROJECT
This project was for the interior refurbishment of a Cessna 182TR. The Generation Global team delivered new seating, side walls, and carpets. The aircraft’s owner is a private, recreational pilot who takes an active role in his local Aero Club.

This Cessna’s seating configuration features two crew seats in the front of the cabin and a bench seat with a split backrest in the aft of the cabin. The Generation Global team provided new backrest and bottom cushions made from Genlite foam. The seat upholstery was manufactured using saddle brown (ADI 4111) leather and sported perforated (SP1) leather inserts.
For this aircraft’s floor coverings, we provided Black City carpet with matching black binding. The carpet pieces were specifically designed for this model of Cessna including cutouts for the seat tracks and for the rear bench seats’ attachment points. One carpet mat extends from the back of the aircraft doors to the rear of the aircraft, while another mat extends up the rear wall and onto the luggage compartment.
The same Black City carpet was also used on the lower sidewalls - the remainder of the sidewalls featured the same Saddle Brown leather as the seats. The sidewalls’ central inserts had perforated leather, just like the seat inserts. Finally, for the armrests, which are attached directly to the sidewalls, we provided new, fitted black leather coverings.
