THE PROJECT
For this project, Generation Global’s team was tasked with completing a total refurbishment for the interior of a Cessna 182Q Skylane. A client of ours reached out to us after seeing photos of another one of our Cessna projects - he wanted his interior done in a similar manner. Our deep experience with Cessna's gave us the ability to successfully transfer over key design elements while ensuring everything fit our client’s 182Q’s exact specifications.

We outfitted this interior mostly in white, with a dark, lead grey being used as the main contrast color. These two complementary leathers were used throughout the interior, including on the sidewalls and seats. This particular 182Q had two individual front seats and a split-back rear bench seat.
After getting the main color theme chosen, we set to sorting out the detail work. Each seat insert was quilted with white stitching using a Honeygrid Large (SA007) quilting pattern. Conversely, we used lead grey stitching on the white leather-backed outer seams. We also used that same dark thread to embroider the Cessna 182 logo on each seat back - a sharp final touch that our client loved.
We outfitted the sidewalls in vinyl that matched the white leather of each seat. Inserts, meanwhile, were done in lead grey microfiber leather with decorative white stitching. Other systems we styled in the same theme included the pull handles and armrests.
For the carpeting on the lower side walls and door margins, we used lead grey leather piping. The carpet itself is Black City carpet, which is darker than anything else in the aircraft and allows the other interior elements to really pop. The luggage compartment in the rear of the aircraft was outfitted with Black City carpet on its floor and charcoal grey boot lining carpet on its walls (helping protect both baggage and the storage area itself).
