THE PROJECT
This project was for an Australia-based Bell 206B helicopter. Our client ordered replacement crew and pax seat covers and cushions as well as replacement control boots. All parts seen below were purchased on Generation Global’s online shop.

The helicopter crew seats were Generation II design, with leather dress covers supplied that fit onto the OEM seat frames. The rear seats were also the Gen II design using the OEM seat frames. The control boots we manufactured using black leather (ADI-1091); and are designed to be secured to their respective controls with velcro.
We used charcoal grey leather (ADI-1121) as our primary material for each seat cover. All seats’ center inserts were perforated for breathability and stitched with decorative quilting in the Honeygrid Large (SA007) pattern.
In addition to covers, we supplied the Gen II-style seat diaphragms to replace the aged OEM diaphragms on the seat frames. The diaphragms are fitted by stretching them over the seat frame and attaching them in place with glue; providing a trampoline-type surface. The cushions are fitted on top of the diaphragm with glue to provide extra comfort and padding for the occupant. Finally, the seat covers are fitted over the cushions, and attached underneath with glue, with all creases and wrinkles carefully smoothed out through tensioning the cover. Installation videos are provided to provide easy step instructions for fitting.
