THE PROJECT
Manufactured by Bell Helicopter in Quebec, Canada, the Bell 206 is a multipurpose utility helicopter. An extremely popular model, Bell manufactured over 7,000 206's between 1962 and 2017. For this project, we provided seating and flooring furnishings for one of our clients’ Bell 206's. All of the parts we used for this project can be found on Generation Global’s website and are available with EASA certification worldwide.

This helicopters’ Generation I seats feature a simple, frameless design. We supplied our client with handsome Charcoal Grey (ADI-1121) leather covers with matching double stitching. The leather in the center inserts was perforated, helping provide some extra breathability. As the finishing touch, we embroidered the Bell logo in white on each seat back.
For this helicopter’s floor, we supplied vinyl coin matting flooring, which looks sharp and provides excellent traction. The flooring in this particular model of 206 (the JetRanger) is rather complex. There are many individual pieces that cover not just the floor but also the sidewalls and the seat bases in both the cockpit and the rear cabin. We made sure every piece was precisely measured and cut, ensuring a clean fit.
THE CLIENT
Our client for this project was a helicopter operator located on the South Island of New Zealand. They provide helicopter-related services across the commercial, agricultural, and tourism sectors. Agriculture is particularly important in this region, and the application of sprays and fertilizer is often done via helicopter.
