THE PROJECT
This project involved the reconditioning of an Australian client AW-109 helicopter. The helicopter is part of a bespoke offering of luxury charters including a private jet and superyacht. The refurbishment of this helicopter included new seat covers for both crew and the rear cabin, new carpet floor coverings, and other miscellaneous trim panels and detailing.

The seating in the helicopter comprises two free-standing crew seats and the seating in the rear includes club seating with three seats on each fore and aft facing each other. The center seat in the aft seating has an inbuilt armrest that folds down from the seat back when carrying fewer passengers.
The seat dress covers throughout the interior of the helicopter followed the same style and theme. The covers are made using grey (2174) Italian leather. The covers feature a quilted insert in the diamond quilting pattern and are stitched with a thread that is matched to the leather.
The trim panels on both sliding doors were refurbished by wrapping the parts in the same leather as the seats. New control boots were supplied and a replacement pocket for the right-hand cockpit door was supplied in leather to match the seating. New carpet floor coverings were supplied, which are made up of multiple cockpit sections and the one-piece rear carpet which extends under the seats. The carpet used in the aircraft was in color zimmer (WN-120).
