THE PROJECT
At Generation Global, we’re happy to handle any interior aircraft project, no matter how large or small. For this simple project, we provided a luggage liner for the back of an AS350 helicopter. This part was patterned in the AS350 and has now been made it available as a ready-made product on its website.GALLERY
This luggage store is located in the rear of the helicopter and can only be accessed from its exterior. Traditionally, an AS350’s stowage area is not lined, but this client wanted to offer extra protection for their passengers’ luggage. We were happy to help provide a simple solution.
The luggage liner is composed of heavy-duty, durable carpet for both the floor and two side walls. The lining has five parts, and cut-outs on the floor section allow for tie-downs to be easily accessed. Each piece is fastened in place with velcro, which is attached to the back of the lining - the set then comes with a roll adhesive-backed velcro for installation.
THE CLIENT
The client for this project is a local Nelson helicopter operator that primarily serves the tourism sector. They offer a wide array of tours to scenic locations - wineries, mountain biking trails, fishing spots, and even film locations from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The client also offers private charters and transfers to and from a number of luxury lodges. It’s no mystery, then, why they had an interest in making their luggage store extra safe!
